Why should I take an intensive course?
Intensive courses are a fast and efficient way of learning all the skills you'll need to take the wheel. We've already helped hundreds of people to get their licence – see what they have to say by reading our reviews page! Learn more by visiting our crash course guide.
Where will the course be?
I cover both practical test centres in Aberdeen, so no matter where you live, I've got you covered. Your course will take place in your area and the test will be booked in a DVSA centre close by.
What is the waiting time and availability?
Once you book, I will look for your driving test. I book it according to your preferences, and how long your course is. When the date is finalised, your course will be arranged to go alongside it.
How is the course structured?
You can choose the amount you drive per day. This ranges from fully intensive to semi-intensive.
What about the theory test?
The Theory Test is in two parts. The first part being the multiple choice test and the second part the Hazard Perception Test you will be provided online theory practice.
The multiple choice test for car drivers and motorcycle riders consists of 50 questions. Associated with each question is a list of potential answers. You need to select the correct answer, or indeed answers. You will be given 57 minutes to complete the first part of the theory test. To pass you need to correctly answer 43 out of the 50 questions .
Hazard Perception each clip will start with a freeze frame of the start of the video and a count down from 10 will commence. At the end of the count down the clip will start to play and you will be required to click the mouse each time you see a potential hazard start to develop and each time any additional evidence appears to support that development. To let you know that the program has registered your click a red flag will appear on a grey band across the bottom of the screen - one flag for each click you make in any particular clip. At the end of the clip all the flags will be removed before you start the next clip. Although each clip contains several potential hazards only the one that materialises into a real hazard and involves another road user is marked (i.e. that required the driver to take some form of action to avoid the hazard).
The maximum score that can be obtained for the hazard perception part of the theory test is 75. To pass the hazard perception part of the Car, moped and motorcycle theory test you must obtain a score of 44. To pass the theory test you must pass both parts. If you fail either part you are required to take both parts of the test again.
